The Irish born versatile midfielder who spent three years as a full-time professional for Doncaster Rovers began his journey with Rosso in March 2023 as manager at the time Ben Hunter brought Prior in to strengthen the midfield in a bid for promotion. During his first season, Prior established himself in the heart of midfield alongside teammate Liam King and mostly wore the number seven shirt. Prior then helped Rosso achieve promotion from the Northern Counties East League Division One through the play-offs of which he took one for the team, receiving a red card which was nothing compared to the four that Horbury Town was given. Prior was hungry for a second promotion and despite mixing his second season in the midfield but also quite regularly filling in at left-back, back-to-back promotions wasn't to be as Rosso was eliminated in the Northern Counties East League Premier play-offs at the semi-final stage and also the last four of the NCEL JCP Construction Cup.Squad
